Prince of Peace
Christmas 2004

This not-so-silent night is closed to you,

your placid sleep disturbed by orphaned cries.

Daunted are your seekers for their prize,

who only seek for life and peace to do.

How can you sleep when open hearts are few

and actions find their energy in lies?

When hopes proclaimed parade in prideful guise,

in self-created hearts that cant beat true?

Affix your gaze and meet the eyes that grew

large with tears, now opened and now wise.

Extend your softened hands so wide anew;

embrace their pain that will your life comprise.

Incarnate judge in no small size,

your lullaby now fades and dies.
