A.D.

Ann Dunn, 1947-2005

When seven years had passed

And God was duly asked,

The puppy prize arrived

And God became the Giver:

Open arms and liking to give.

When fifteen years would end,

Then God became a friend,

A lonely youth survived

And God became the Embracer:

Open arms and holding on.

Year thirty could not hide

The plan that God would guide,

The hearts desire would finally thrive,

And God became the Leader:

Open arms and knowing all.

Year sixty and a fall,

Unknown that God would call-

To life, the endless life;

And God became Brightness,

Open arms, home to home.
