A Christmas
Reflection
Dare to consider the
Christmas gift which will enrich every aspect of your life on a very deep level.

The Heavens declare thy glory, Lord!
In every star thy wisdom shines;
That when our eyes behold thy word,
We read thy name in fairer lines The rolling sun, the changing light And nights and days thy power
confess;
That the blest
volume thou has writ Reveals thy justice and thy grace.

AN INTERIOR
NATIVITY
Dare to consider the
Christmas gift which will enrich every aspect of your life on a very deep level. Find a
quiet place in the house. Relax in the presence of the Lord by giving to Him any worrisome
thoughts of the past or the future.
DREAMS
Enter your
imagination where you hear not only your own dreams, but, in silence, you can hear God
dreaming, imagining your dreams. Relax and let Him fill your mind with all the possible
ways in which you could live out your life.
Let your
preconceived notions melt; let fears of thinking of yourself in a new way melt, IMAGINE; DREAM.
Ask his spirit to
free you in any area where this dreaming is blocked. Perhaps He is calling you to a family
dream, a community dream.
If there is a vision
you have which is hard to communicate or bring into the concrete, let Him show you now a
road that could be taken to bring that about.
If you have little
dreams that dissipate the Big Dream that would bring happiness to both Jesus and yourself, melt them
down. Focus on your dream.
Ask the Lord to
empower it and to lead you to areas where you can dream with impact.
DREAM A
JESUS DREAM
And if you feel
alone in you dreams, let the Lord bring people to mind who can join you in a common dream.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus,
prince of peace, we live in a world alive with rumors of war. By your birth and presence
among us you call us to stay near you as the source of peace.
There is no
doubt in our minds that you give all of us the possibility of lasting peace. May we take
this first step this Christmas by resolving to rest intimately in your presence that we
may feel the peace for ourselves and pass it on to others.
Amen.
