On Monday, August
25, the feast of our patron Saint Louis the King,
Christopher Szarke
and
Matthew Hillman were formally
welcomed as postulants. The celebration took place in the context of
Evening Prayer.� Fr. Anthony presided.� Also present were Fr.
Terrence, T.O.R., Fr. Thomas, TOR (from St. Thomas Province in
India), Fr. Anthony Cho, OFM (from Singapore and newly enrolled as a
student at Saint John�s) and Cory Smoot (a vocation contact
returning for his second discernment week and interviews.) The
celebration continued with hors d�oeuvres and a lovely dinner
prepared by Fr. Pat Foley.� Christopher and Matthew both joined the
community on July 1 and have been welcome additions to the friary.�
They are now engaged full-time in work and school along with weekly
meetings with Bro David and a formation class scheduled every
Thursday.�� Again, to both of them, a hearty welcome!�
