Welcome Jeffrey Wilson, Our New Candidate

|
The Province is
pleased to welcome Jeffrey Wilson as he begins his Candidate Formation.
Jeffrey first made
contact with the community through our Website in August, 2005. He has
been in active conversation with the vocation director since then and
was accepted into the Candidate program by Fr. Anthony on April 10,
2007. Jeffrey arrived at Saint Bridget friary on August 18. On August
26, following a welcome dinner which included the friars from the
Minnesota Region, Jeffrey was formally received in a brief ceremony in
the context of Evening Prayer.
Jeffrey was born in
Panama City, FL. He graduated from Florida State University in 1996
with a degree in Finance and then went on to complete a MBA in 2000.
After two years in the retail business working as assistant manager and
a department manager he began work as a financial analyst for GMAC
Financial Services. A job transfer in 2006 necessitated his relocation
to Alpharetta, Georgia. For the past year Jeffrey has participated in
the Aspirant Program in order to maintain more active contact with the
community. This arrangement aided his easy transition to community life
at Saint Bridget.
Jeffrey is a
welcome addition to the community. Presently, he is taking two
pre-theology courses at Saint Paul School of Divinity. He also is
engaged in two formation classes a week and is exploring ministry
options that will begin in October. Jeff is no stranger to volunteer
experience. He was active in Boy Scouts of America, provided assistance
and service to the hungry at Trinity Caf in Tampa and was involved in
Youth Ministry and Faith Formation both in Tampa and Georgia.
Welcome, Jeffrey!
May these months be a time of great grace. We are happy to have you a
part of our fraternity!
