Prayerfulness - A Reflection
When someone rings you on the phone, how often do you say, "I'm
too busy" and abruptly hang up? Why do we do this only with Jesus?
Don't we believe that conversations with him can be interesting and
enjoyable? How often do we slip away just to spend a little time with him, our best of
friends?

We look for answers to problems from others. Why not seek them first
from Jesus, our way and truth and life?
Prayer is a conversation, and Jesus can be counted on as having
something important and loving to say. He regularly requests opportunities for
saying it, only to be told that we are too distracted to listen.
We tell friends that we really enjoy talking with them. If only we
had those talks with Jesus, we would be reaping their fruits for years to come; for years,
yes, and for all eternity as well!
Talking with God is an extremely profitable use of our time.

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time
to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones,
and a time to gather stones together,
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.
