Prayer Line - Forgiveness
It is important to forget wrongs, as it is to remember kindness

Two little children were having a squabble, leading their moms to
start arguing between themselves.
The children quickly forgave and forgot, and walked off arm in arm,
but the mothers never spoke to each other again.
Whatever makes us God-like is a great blessing, and the virtue of
forgiveness does just that.
"I wipe away your offenses; your sins I
remember no more" (Is. 43:25)
Because God is so forgiving, hard-heartedness on our part stands in
the way of our oneness with him. "Forgive anyone against whom
you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive you" (MK. 11:25-26).
Jesus commands us to love the way he loves, and he loves us enough
to forgive the sins that nailed him to the cross.
Let's live like God by learning to forgive like Jesus. Let's learn
from the little children, so that we never suffer the loss of a friend.

"The remarkable thing is that we really love our neighbor as
ourselves: we do unto others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate
ourselves. We are tolerant toward others when we tolerate ourselves. We forgive others
when we forgive ourselves. We are prone to sacrifice others when we are ready to sacrifice
ourselves."
