New Aspirant Program
The Province has
implemented a new Aspirant Program and is pleased to announce that
six men will participate in the program this year.
The Aspirant Program
is designed to provide a structured environment for young men to
further explore their vocational call, to experience the richness of
the Franciscan Third Order tradition, to establish a deep supportive
relationship with the community and fellow Aspirants, and to help
them envision their future. The program will provide a common
foundation for men intending to apply for Candidacy but who, for
whatever reason, are not yet ready or able.
Five weekend dates are
scheduled-- the first is October 6 - 8. Aspirants will gather at
Saint Bridget Friary for a time of fellowship, instruction,
ministry, and prayer. All friars are welcome to attend and, indeed,
are encouraged to consider supporting the Aspirants, not only by
your prayers, but also by your presence.
Saint Bridget Friary
will also host four spiritual retreats for men. The scheduled dates
are: October 27-29; January 26-28, 2007; March 2-4; May 25-27. More
information will be available soon.
