Saint Bridget Friary is pleased to announce that Corey Smoot has been accepted as an Aspirant to our community.  He will move to Saint Bridget�s in January and will be working full-time as we continue to discern his calling to our way of life.  Corey is 38 years old and hails from Portland, OR.  Corey will visit the friary again in November to follow-up on job opportunities in the Twin Cities.

Bro. David gave a talk to an adult vocation support group at Saint Jude of the Lake parish entitled: Vocation as Response, Gift, and Challenge.  Coincidently, he gave a second talk that same week to the Saint Croix Valley Serra club which happened to meet in September at Saint Jude�s Church.  The title of that talk was: Structures of Franciscan Life and the Vocation of the Religious Brother.
