Damian
Drass was
hospitalized recently following a stroke that occurred during Mass at
Saint Joseph Friary in Hollidaysburg, PA. Damian is making a remarkable
recovery. Prior to the operation to remove the blood clot in his brain,
the doctor predicted that Damian would not leave the hospital alive. A
day after the operation he was transferred to Health South
Rehabilitation Hospital in Altoona, PA, where he is undergoing extensive
therapy. There appears to be no residual effects from the stroke. He
was visited by the Provincial on Wednesday, September 21. The strong
grip, the hearty laugh, and the great sense of humor gave every
indication that Damian was on the way to full recovery. Please remember
him in prayer. He may be contacted at: Health South Rehabilitation
Hospital, 2005 Valley View Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602-4548;
814-944-3535.

Continued
prayers are requested for
Columba
Enright. He is on
a slow-road to recovery but has been able to maintain his great wit and
indomitable spirit.
♦
Please remember in prayer Robert
Wolski, the brother of
Adalbert Wolski.
Roberts health continues to decline. He is Adalberts only sibling.
♦
Patty Pyo, TOR
was hospitalized for an elective surgery to have her hip replaced. She
is recovering at home. As an affiliate of our Province, we have a
special obligation to hold her in prayer. Please let her know that you
are doing so. Well-wishes may be sent to her at: 758 Portage Road,
Cresson, PA, 16630.

Didacus
Wilson can use our prayers at
this important juncture. He continues to face the possibility of kidney
failure. This will lead either to dialysis or a transplant operation.
Between periodic
visits to the hospital, he continues his dedicated ministry to high
school students as a teacher and advisor.
Patrick Quinn
is one friar who offered to be a donor and whose blood appears to be a
compatible match for Didacus. Let us pray for both of them.
