Visitation

Most Rev. Michael Higgins, Vicar General

arrived in Durban on 26th Nov to make the general

visitation of the vice province and preside over the

provincial chapter and provincial congregation. He

travelled house to house to meet with every friar in

the vice province. During the course of his

visitation he called on to meet with His Eminence

Cardinal Wilfrid Napier OFM of Durban

Archdiocese, Rt. Rev. Barry Wood OMI, Auxiliary

of Durban and Rt. Rev. Pious M. Dlungwane,

Bishop of Mariannhill Diocese. The Ordinaries

expressed to the visitator their appreciation of the

friars serving the people of the respective diocese.

At the end of his mission Fr. Michael was

seen off at Durban Airport by Fathers Anthony

and Kurian on 10th Dec. Congratulations and

best wishes to the New Provincial

officially amalgamated to the Third

Order Regular of St. Francis in 1982.
