Congratulations to Bro. Jeffrey Wilson, T.O.R.� Jeffrey was received into the novitiate on May 30 after spending ten months as a postulant at Saint Bridget Friary in North Minneapolis.� Jeffrey was invested along with three postulants from the Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.� The new novices will be under the guidance of Fr. Bernie Tickerhoof, T.O.R.

Jeffrey spent two years in discernment before making the decision to apply to our Province.� He was already well established in the business world with a Master�s degree in Business Administration and employed by GMAC as a financial analyst.� Jeffrey is 30 years old and was born in Florida.� His parents, while supportive of his decision to convert to the Catholic faith, found it a bit more challenging to accept his desire to enter religious life since he is their only child.

For the last ten months, Jeffrey has been participating fully in community life, taking courses at the local diocesan seminary, volunteering for two organizations, and participating in formation classes.� His courses in philosophy and theology helped set a foundation for his later preparation for ordination as a priest.� He volunteered weekly at an after-school program for troubled kids from the neighborhood and served in the physical therapy department of Courage Center.� Courage Center assists people with physical disabilities develop skills for independent living.� Jeffrey was a welcome addition to the house of formation and will be missed.

During his novitiate the friars of our Province are encouraged to be in regular contact with Jeff.� Friars are welcome to visit the novices at any time but it is best to make sure they will be home by calling Fr.
