Rest In Peace

On St. Valentines Day, fourteen friars of the Province gathered at Garvey Manor to celebrate a Memorial Mass for Ann Dougherty, sister of our Br. Bernard, T.O.R. Fr. Brad Baldwin, T.O.R. was the principal celebrant and homilist. Some of Br. Bernards old friends attended as well as the Carmelite Sisters of the Aged and Infirm who operate Garvey Manor.

Mr. Richard Kuiawa played the organ and directed the music. A reception was held at the Nursing Home after the Mass. Br. Bernard was very pleased to have so many attend this Memorial Mass for his sister.

On March 5th, Mrs. Alvera Schinelli passed away at St. Therese Home, New Hope, MN. She was 97 years old.

Mrs. Schinellis Funeral was at St. Gerard Majella Church, Brooklyn Park, MN. Her son, Fr. Giles, T.O.R., was the principal celebrant and homilist. Many of the friars attended the Funeral.

Her body was brought back to New York for burial. Some friars were in attendance also.

Mrs. Schinelli had welcomed to her home many of our friars. She was a very kind, welcoming and devout woman.
