Formation Update - Summer 2005

Formation Information

David Kaczmarek is registered for six courses this semester at Saint Paul Seminary. He will graduate this spring with a Masters degree in theology and a Masters of Divinity. In his spare time he is developing a prototype of an environmentally friendly, soy-based, candle for the Arts Consortium. Check out his poetry on the Province Website.

While continuing to work the late-night shift as a Patient Care Assistant at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Tello Vu is also enrolled in two courses this semester that will help toward completing an LPN degree.

David Liedl and David Kaczmarek got a ride in the cherry picker at the firehouse of Saint Johns University. Both Davids were at SJU this summer taking graduate school courses. Each term the fire monks at Saint Johns host a picnic for students and professors. This proves the point that the study of theology elevates the mind, the spirit, and the body.

Students and adult mentors from the Youth in Theology and Ministry program (YTM) gathered for a photo op at Saint Bridgets after their summer presentation. Two of the high school students and one college counselor are now in regular contact with the Vocation Office. Back row: Jack Powers, Chuckie Kaucic, Mike Beckstrand. Middle row: Greg Washam, unidentified, John Larson, Bonnie Cler. Front row: Chandra Dunahm, Kateri Mancini, Bro David Liedl.
