Christmas Cards
These new Christmas cards were created by
one of our friars, Bro. David Liedl, T.O.R. The cover depicts a scene
from the Christmas creche he designed last year for Saint Bridget's
Church, Minneapolis,
 Minn. Entitled:
"Bethlehem, House of Bread," the design is a reflection on St.
Francis' insight about the theological connection between the crib,
the cross, and the Eucharist.
Each card is 5 x 7 inches and printed on heavy card stock with a plain
white envelope. The inside text reads: "At Christmas and throughout
the coming year, may the Word of God that is Jesus Christ become flesh
and dwell in you. Blessed Christmas!" The back of the card recounts
the story of St. Francis' creche scene n Greccio, Italy. The full

ARTIST
Br. David currently acts as vocation
director and provincial secretary while living at St. Bridget Friary,
Minneapolis. He is also a member of the provincial council.
Before moving here in 2003, he spent 10 years at San Pedro Friary in
Orlando, Fla. giving retreats and running the spiritual direction
program "Audire". He exercised his creative skills through
decorating and playing piano music in the center's chapel. He
spent his first 11 years of T.O.R. life ministering to the poor,
particularly the elderly and homebound, in the South Bronx.

Cards are available for $1.50 each; 12 for $10.50; 25 for $18.50.
Profits from the sale help, in part, to support the TOR Outreach Fund
which ministers to the needs of the poor.
N.B. Postal
charges are the same for orders of 12 or 25 Christmas cards.
