Catholic Volunteers In Florida

FRANCISCAN HOUSE

Goal of Program: The Franciscan Volunteer Ministry provides a setting for volunteers to grow in faith, love, and hope by serving the poor and working for social justice. We aim to foster Gospel-based communities as a witness to our faith through prayer and a simple lifestyle. We encourage our volunteers as lay people to come to full stature in the Catholic Church by working with Franciscan Friars in ministry. We provide a setting where gifts and talents are exchanged with the people of God in a loving and joyful Franciscan spirit, always being aware of how much we can learn from and are blessed by the poor.

We invite you to consider
becoming a Franciscan Lay Volunteer

  • You are invited to share the Energy...
through growth in one's faith life and building of kindred friendships.
  • You are invited to share the Spirit...
through extending Franciscan ideals, values and life
    into our society and church.
  • You are invited to share the Peace...
through bonding with persons who seek solidarity
with the oppressed, always seeking justice.
  • You are invited to share...
    service and ministry,
    leadership and community,
and the experience of being sister and brother with all.
